Hyundai Santa Fe

The premium SUV segment is getting crowded and now, to add to the competition and spoil the customer for choice Hyundai Motors India Limited has extended its product portfolio by unveiling its internationally acclaimed luxurious SUV Santa Fe. The Santa Fe launched in India will be the face lifted second generation variant which made its debut in 2009.

The Santa Fe will be powered  by a 2.2L CRDI engine which delivers a max power output of a whooping 197PS @ 4000 rpm with very impressive maximum torque figure of 42.9kgm @ 1800 to 2500 rpm. The Santa Fe is available with aa 6 speed manual transmission with options of 2WD and 4WD. The ARAI certified fuel economy figure of the Santa Fe is 14.66 kmpl.

The Santa Fe boasts of a 5 Star Safety Rating by the NCAP(New Car Assessment Program). It is equipped with ESP (Electronic stability program) which combines the functions of EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution), ABS (Anti-lock braking) and TCS (Traction Control System). The Santa Fe is also equipped with 6 standard airbags with side and curtain airbags for all three rows of seats. Active Head Restraint on the front reduces the distance between the occupant’s head and the head restraint in case of a rear impact. The Roll-over Sensor assess the vehicle tilt angle and can predict a roll-over. The Santa Fe is driven by silica tyres which provide improved grip under wet road conditions and lesser rolling resistance for better  fuel economy.
